Essence magazine
Essence is a quarterly 40-page, full-colour magazine that is distributed by the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) in both hardcopy and electronically. It includes articles on breastfeeding and early parenting, opinion pieces and the shared experiences of readers.
It has a circulation of 15,000 for each edition.
Essence is primarily a magazine for ABA members but is also distributed in bulk to hospitals, health services, accredited breastfeeding friendly workplaces around Australia and other workplaces that have organisational subscriptions. It is also distributed at baby shows around Australia as well as other events for the new mother market.
Essence readers
Essence readers are women whose lives are changing rapidly. Some of them are pregnant and some already breastfeeding their little ones. They are juggling toddlers, work, and family and need access to high-quality information and resources which Essence magazine provides. The majority of our readers are first or second-time mothers, aged 25-44 with infants less than 2 years of age.
